Personality
Byleth has become more closed off, as the humanity around her has changed. She experiences deep sorrow and regret over those she's come to loss over the years.
Around Seteth and Flayn however, her emotions come out to the same extent as before. The pain is still there but they're a welcome distraction.
After she travels back, Byleth consciously reins in her feelings for her allies, as she's not "Byleth" then. She keeps a cool head and will sometimes act similarly to Sothis.
The Past 300 Years
Post-War
After the war ended and Byleth defeated those who slither in the dark and the immaculate one, she ascended the throne of the United Kingdom of Fódlan. She ruled with Seteth, Flayn, and Duke Ferdinand Aegir at her side to assist.
20 years after becoming the ruler, she noticed she hadn't aged. Eventually, with the help of Seteth, Flayn, and Ferdinand, she came to the conclusion that it was from Sothis's powers, and that she was becoming stronger.
Soon after that she began to occasionally disappear from the capital for weeks on end, leaving Seteth and Ferdinand to watch over in her place. During these absences, she would often visit her other previous students, or train and develop her growing powers.
100 years after becoming the ruler, Byleth finally mastered the goddess's powers. This didn't exactly make her happy, but she mastered them just in case of the return of any Agarthans. In this time span, with the exception of Seteth, she'd eventually lost all of her previous students and allies due to age and illness (And in Flayn's case, sleep).
Those losses had greatly effected her, almost as much as Jeralt's loss. And once again, she could do nothing. If it were not for Seteth she probably would have lost control then.
300 Years Passed.
300 years after the war, Byleth, now wandering Fodlan as a new ruler has taken her place. Seteth had decided to stay with the church, and Flayn had long been asleep. She was looking for a new purpose, though she did occasionally visit him when the loneliness got too much for her to bear.
She met few people in her travels, as she knew she had to be careful of who knew of her, because of her technical age, status, and abilities.
Eventually, even she could no longer stand it.
The growing sorrow over those she had lost, and the deep regret of not trying harder to save the three young lords of hers, it got too painful-- even Seteth's company and assurances weren't enough sometimes.
She'd begun to see the goddess's powers-- the immortality as a curse.
She wanted them no more.
After amassing enough power, despite Seteth's disapproval, she eventually traveled back to before the war had even began, hoping to change it all.
Headcanons
Byleth is more conscious of her emotions now, but chooses to rein them in.
She knows going back in time is completely unreasonable and dangerous, but she's reached a point where she wanted to be selfish, and try doing this for herself, just once.
Upon traveling back in time she uses the alias, Sirius. She also removes all the golden pieces from the outfit, adding flats.
Rarely, if she feels the need, she may use "Sothis" as her alias instead.
Back in her time, she told Seteth she donned Sothis's clothing for fun even if it meant being barefoot, but in reality, she likes the feel of the clothes as they help her feel closer to a 'lost' friend. And she enjoys feeling the ground and grass beneath her feet. (She doesn't add the hair ribbons since she doesnt like styling her hair all that deeply).
She enjoys star gazing, her favorite star is (of course) Sirius, and her favorite constellation is Pisces the Fish.
She has learned to sing and can sometimes be caught singing when she's alone.
If caught, she acts like it didn't happen no matter how much you persist.
She is able to see Sothis in the 'past', but pretends she does not.
